Services

Workshop Jobs:

 

All machines booked in require a deposit of $66 inc GST which covers the quote fee or minimum labour fee.  If a job is in for a full service, then this amount comes off the final invoice total.

 

A Quote Covers:

  • Booking in machine.

  • Diagnosis of problem.

  • Quoting of price for parts and labour to repair. 

  • A phone, text or email of quote.

  • Discussions to help you determine if machine is worth repairing.

  • Disposal of machine if unwanted.

 

Minimum Labour Charge Covers:

  • Booking in machine.

  • Looking at a specifically requested issue.

  • Fixing the problem.

  • Parts are charged separately at an extra cost to the minimum labour charge.

  • A phone, text or email to let you know when the job is completed.

Express service option:

  • An additional $50 can be paid in order to perform a repair or service after hours with the aim to have your machine ready for            collection at the start of the next business day. 

  • Parts availability could prohibit this outcome.

  • We may need to discuss an issue with you which may delay this outcome.

Service & Repairs

All machinery require periodic maintenance to ensure that they deliver the ultimate performance and reliability.  Regular maintenance will also extend the products life - getting the most out of your investment.

 

At McDougalls Power Equipment we have a comprehensive workshop, with factory trained technicians and the latest tools to look after your machine.

Chain Sharpening

We can professionally sharpen your chainsaw chain with our precise workshop equipment.  Ensuring accurate results mean you cut quicker, easier and safer.  $15 per chain 

 

Mower Collection

McDougalls power equipment can pick up your ride on mower with ease. We have a purpose built vehicle that has built in ramps and a winch if necessary if your mower is not drivable.

 

Transport costs are worked out at $1 per Km.  Remember it is usually 4 trips for us to collect a machine then deliver it back.  You can calculate your own costs from the distance we are to your property, but remember to times it by 4.

Spare Parts

After 60 years of business we have developed an understanding of which parts to stock in our warehouse.  if we dont have it, it can usually be delivered overnight from our supplier.

 

We can cater for Husqvarna, Briggs and Stratton, Victa, Flymo, Gardena, Yamaha, Honda, Kohler, Kawasaki, Oregon, McCulloch, Masport, Flymo and others.
